Since 2018, Bonfiglioli has supported the Emilia-Romagna Epilepsy Association (AEER) through a dedicated project that promotes greater awareness of the neurological disease and a deeper understanding of the cognitive and emotional effects on those who suffer from it. In 2023, we rolled out a training cycle involving all 160 Bonfiglioli first aiders and infirmaries in Italy, the aim being to increase safety in the workplace by providing staff with the knowledge they need to be able to act promptly in the event of an epileptic seizure.
2023 marked the conclusion of the ambitious restoration of the Cinema Modernissimo in Palazzo Ronzani, Bologna. Bonfiglioli played an active role in bringing the historic landmark back to life. This unique building was built between 1913 and 1915 as a multipurpose space, housing an underground theater too.
In February 2023, we completed the first section of the new cycle path in Calderara di Reno, which runs alongside our Headquarters. This project, which was launched in 2016, is part of a wider initiative to reduce our environmental footprint and offers benefits to both our employees and the local community.
The cycle path will connect Calderara with the village of Tavernelle and will become part of the EuroVelo 7 “Sun Route”: a network of paths that passes through nine countries, from the far north of Europe all the way down to Valletta.
Bonfiglioli is part of the Amici del Museo Association, born in 1997 out of a collaboration between local businesses, associations and foundations. This association supports Bologna’s museums in order to promote the city's historic industrial heritage and strengthen links between local manufacturing and technical training institutions.
The primary goal is to foster a new, more dynamic revival of Bologna’s manufacturing sector, underpinned by an awareness of the importance of training the younger generations and developing their technical and scientific skills.
