In 2011, we created the Clementino Bonfiglioli Prize, which we have been supporting and promoting ever since. Inspired by our founder, Clementino Bonfiglioli, this prize is awarded to students who have demonstrated excellence in their studies through a dissertation on robotics, industrial automation, power transmission and control, or mechatronics.
Born in 2016 as a multi-purpose area open to all students in Bologna, Malpighi La.B is a Laboratory of Robotics, Computer Science and 3D Design dedicated to Clementino Bonfiglioli. Here, students can get involved in a range of activities, including initiatives that encourage them to put their skills to the test by developing complete projects or mechatronic systems, either as part of a team or individually.
Each year, Bonfiglioli helps organize the Mechatronic Contest. This competition involves around 70 students who, for two days, are challenged to work together as a team to create physical models and configure a simple mechatronic control system.
Last year, we took part in the 2023 edition of the Ragazze Digitali ER project: a summer camp co-funded by the 2021-2027 European Social Fund Plus and the Emilia-Romagna Region, set up to encourage high school girls to explore STEM disciplines and the world of programming, with the ultimate goal of helping to reduce the digital gender gap. The project was split into two editions: one dedicated to the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence, and the other to Digital Humanities.
