Raw material handling (sorting)

Raw material handling is the first phase of the baking process. The machines must ensure continuous operation to prevent interruption of the subsequent baking process. Bonfiglioli’s raw material handling solutions meet this requirement by combining robustness, flexible assembly and cost effectiveness.

Processing

Mixing and extruding are the two fundamental stages of this particular sub-process. Bonfiglioli solutions for mixers are designed to ensure the optimal homogenization, to best meet the needs of our customers. Furthermore, Bonfiglioli’s experience in extruders and molding machines ensures efficiency and reliability, helping yield uniform, quality products at all stages of the process.

Drying and cooking line

Bonfiglioli solutions support customers in taking their products from start to finish. Cooking and drying phases require high-quality, heat-resistant solutions specifically designed for the food & beverage industry.

COOKING AND FREEZING PROCESSES

The Bonfiglioli solution offers a complete Drive Transmission package, from gearbox to inverter. With spiral belts for freezing and reheating processes, our offering is based on planetary gearboxes with or without input bevel gear, always in combination with our IE3 electric motor and our internal panel inverters. In applications where high levels of efficiency are required, we can offer our synchronous reluctance motor with IE4 efficiency. Furthermore, our gearmotors are capable of operating in extremely low temperatures, such as those required by the freezing process, and stand up to the most intense washing procedures.

Screw Feeder

Because this high-volume application is stressed continuously, we offer versatile, highly resistant, energy-efficient products that enhance production. Moreover, our gearboxes are ATEX certified, guaranteeing the highest level of protection for our customers.

Milling

Bonfiglioli solutions for flaking and milling ensure smooth operation to optimize the grinding of wheat into flour. For speed control, Bonfiglioli provides a complete drive solution from the gearmotor to the inverter. Storage

Raw material handling

Roving

Bonfiglioli offers several different drive concepts for ring spinning applications: IP65 asynchronous motors, IP65 and IP67 synchronous motors and synchronous reluctance motors up to IE4 Super Premium efficiency class for the optimum performance and power requirements of your machine. Our dedicated inverter series are designed for the demanding environment typical of the textile sector and equipped with dedicated cooling concepts and coated printed circuit boards. In addition, they include a power failure management to minimize the risk of yarn breakages in case of power failures.

Rotor Spinning

A rotor spinning machine is a type of spinning machine used in the textile industry to produce yarn from fibers such as cotton, wool, and synthetic fibers. The machine uses a rapidly rotating, perforated rotor to draw fibers into a chamber and twist them into yarn.
The process consists of a rotor with an opening through which fibers are fed into the rotor and are presst into the rotor cup by centrifugal force. As the fibers are drawn out the rotor, they are twisted by the rotation of the rotor cup to form a continuous yarn. The yarn is then wound onto a package, which can be further processed into finished textiles.
The rotor spinning machine is known for its high production rate and efficiency, making it a popular method for producing yarn in large quantities. The machine can operate at hi speeds enabling it to produce large amounts of yarn in a short amount of time. However, the yarn produced by rotor spinning is typically of lower quality than that produced by ring spinning, with more hairiness and a rougher surface.

Synchronous Reluctance Motors

Combing

The comber machine represents a crucial step in the process to obtain high quality yarns. Bonfiglioli offers high-performance IP65 asynchronous motors in combination with Active Cube or Agile frequency inverters, which ensure optimally coordinated combing movements for a smooth, controlled fiber treatment to achieve effective parallelization of fibers, straightening of curls, and removal of neps and residual impurities.

Baggage Conveyor Systems

From check-in to boarding gate, arrivals to baggage claim, conveyor speed is crucial in preventing slow system speed. Bonfiglioli provides the complete solution, combining high-efficiency gearmotors and smart frequency drives to guarantee optimal speed and long hours of operation.

Filling, Dosing, Capping & Labelling Machines

From bottle filling to labeling, the primary packaging phase poses a number of challenges, including speed, precision and synchronization. We can provide state-of-the-art integrated solutions that fit customers’ needs. Our low-backlash precision gearboxes, highly dynamic, high-efficiency servo motors and drives are an excellent combination for these applications.

Palletizing & Wrapping machines

Tertiary packaging involves palletizing and wrapping machines that receive the filled boxes from the previous process and prepare them for final shipping.
Bonfiglioli’s solutions for these applications meet the need for both high dynamics and precision. We provide solutions that ensure speed and precision when moving the finished product.

Flow Pack Machine (HFFS - VFFS)

The Flow Pack (HFFS) process involves automatic machines working at a high rate of production. Compact, modular, dynamic, high-precision solutions allow us to supply drive and control systems for both Horizontal Fill Form Seal (HFFS) and Vertical Fill Form Seal (VFFS) machines that provide proper conveyor transfer of material to an unwinder for sealing with a single roll of film.

Palletizing machines

Last but not least, the tertiary phase includes both palletizing and wrapping machines to prepare the product for shipment. We provide solutions that can handle high speeds and precise movement, while stabilizing and properly aligning the material.

Overhead cranes

Components in overhead indoor cranes need to be space optimized.
Thanks to our products’ mounting flexibility and compactness, our customers will always find the solution that optimally meets their space requirements. To further increase efficiency, Bonfiglioli can also provide regenerative inverters to save the energy generated when lowering loads.

Jib Cranes

Bonfiglioli solutions for horizontal and low handling applications are cost-effective, compact and reliable.
Our products are designed to meet and exceed the demanding requirements placed on these cranes: from the high radial loads of the slew drive to the precision necessary in the hoisting speed control and finally to the dynamics of the cross travel drive.

Shiploader/Unloader

Ship loaders/unloaders operate in one of the most demanding environments. The atmosphere at the docks can be extremely corrosive, and these machines must be able to work under all weather conditions.
