After a year of work, we are proud and glad to announce that the CheerFutureRoseLand is now ready to welcome 50 young girls. The aim is to provide a safe and modern environment where the girls will receive an education and learn the skills that will prepare them for life and for the workplace.
Yesterday, reflecting Bonfiglioli's commitment to social sustainability activities, our chairman, Sonia Bonfiglioli, and our CEO, Fausto Carboni, went to Chennai to cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony.
In 2008, Bonfiglioli has launched the CheerFutureLand project dedicated to helping poor and orphaned children living near one of Bonfiglioli's plants in Chennai, India. 10 years later, over 80 boys have had the opportunity to receive an education and learn vocational skills that will prepare them for tomorrow's challenges. Bonfiglioli has continued to believe in this initiative and, a year ago, decided to build a new house for girls only, to offer the same opportunities without gender distinction.
