Thanks to high quality materials and an optimized design, HD Series can operate in the harshest environemt, as well as in explosive atmospheres, with low maintenance costs and long time service intervals. The output shaft can be chosen both in the parallel (HDP) or right angle(HDO) configuration and to always ensure the minimization of mounting space. HDx Series, furthermore, can be deeply customized thanks to an extremely wide options and accessories portfolio, thus matching most of the requirements of a large applications number.

Crushing

Crushing is a crucial process in the mineral industry, so reliability of the products for these applications must be extremely high to ensure process continuity. Bonfiglioli solutions for crushers are extremely robust and manufactured to the highest quality criteria. Our heavy-duty products for these applications can operate 24/7/365 and ensure maximum operational time. Furthermore, our solution can be customized with torque arms adapted to the machine design and completed with highly corrosion-resistant paints and seals for mining environments.

Unloading

Unloading procedures in a mining plant are usually done by a train positioner coupled with a wagon tippler.
Bonfiglioli solutions for train positioners have customized gearmotors adapted to the machine design. Furthermore, the products we use in these applications feature special seals.
Wagon trippler:
Wagon tripplers rotate train cars together with the rail section beneath them to unload the material.

Dewatering

Focusing on solid/liquid separation, the belt filter presses the product with mechanical pressure to squeeze the water out of the sludge. Flexibility in layout and mounting positions as well as high resistance in harsh, dusty and ambient conditions are key features that our products can deliver.

Flotation

Flotation cells mainly consist of big tanks where an impeller keeps the water/material solution rotating at a high speed. Use of specific chemical reagents and the possible addition of air in the solution enhances separation of the ore from the liquid.
For this application, Bonfiglioli provides helical bevel or parallel shaft gearmotors with more bearings. Output configurations are usually reinforced bearings to withstand by the machine impeller on the shaft. In some models, the machine requires injection of high-pressure air to maximize separation of the material from water. In this case, Bonfiglioli provides a gearbox equipped with a pass-through hole on the output shaft and with a specific interface on top of the gearbox for the pipeline connection.
HDOs are usually driven by belt transmissions, while HDPs are directly connected to the motor with a bell housing. Independent coolers are usually installed on bigger machines. Drywell is a commonly required feature.

Dewatering

Spiral classifiers are designed to settle and dewater relatively coarse particles from high volume, low percent solid volume streams. Flexibility in layout and mounting positions as well as high resistance in harsh, dusty and ambient conditions are key features that our products can deliver.

Gantry cranes

The high reliability and robustness of Bonfiglioli’s products ensure safety in vessel handling cranes. We can provide a complete solution for all the drives in these machines. Through our experience, we have developed gearmotors and inverters with dedicated crane features that simplify machine systems' integration and design.

Overhead cranes

Components in overhead indoor cranes need to be space optimized.
Thanks to our products’ mounting flexibility and compactness, our customers will always find the solution that optimally meets their space requirements. To further increase efficiency, Bonfiglioli can also provide regenerative inverters to save the energy generated when lowering loads.

Shiploader/Unloader

Ship loaders/unloaders operate in one of the most demanding environments. The atmosphere at the docks can be extremely corrosive, and these machines must be able to work under all weather conditions.
