Bonfiglioli was one of the protagonists of Autodesk Future of Making, a day dedicated to manufacturing market professionals organized by Autodesk, world leader in the supply of software and 3D services dedicated to the design of innovative industrial systems.
The Bonfiglioli-Novotic case is an example of co-design for the transformation towards Smart manufacturing.
At the heart of the project is our headquarter in Rovereto, Bonfiglioli Mechatronics Research, where our Motion Control and IIoT Research and Development teams are located and where we produce precision planetary gearboxes, servomotors and reluctance synchronous motors.
This pioneering project, in collaboration with Novotic, is an integral part of the approach adopted in the design of the Rovereto plant, which focuses on technological advancement and conversion to 4.0 industry technologies. The main objectives pursued with the development of the automatic assembly line for precision gearboxes are to increase productivity, standardise production processes and reduce assembly times, while maintaining the key role of the assembly worker, who remains a key element in the control and supervision of processes.
An extension of the automation project is already planned for the next few months, which will include additional activities such as powering the assembly line, quality control and boxing the finished product.
