Bonfiglioli New Zealand Cuts the Ribbon at New Premises

Bonfiglioli New Zealand has officially unveiled its state-of-the-art new headquarters, in Mangere, Auckland.

The company celebrated its relocation to its new facility, at 32 Sistema Way in Mangere, on 3 April 2025, when Bonfiglioli Australia and New Zealand MD, Martin Broglia led a ribbon cutting event.

“The relocation of the New Zealand branch to this new address marks a significant milestone, not just because this is a move into state-of-the-art facilities in a prime location, but because it is the culmination of hard work and commitment,” he said. “This new facility will allow the New Zealand team to further expand its offering to a growing customer base, and ensure these customers continue to get comprehensive and prompt service”.

Steady growth

Bonfiglioli New Zealand was established in 2004. Over the following years, the business grew, and in 2006, Bonfiglioli New Zealand entered an agreement to lease warehouse space from distributor Saeco Wilson – located at 88 Hastie Avenue in Mangere. To support the company’s expansion, stock and staff levels were increased, and a full assembly program was initiated.

Eventually, Bonfiglioli’s activities had taken over half of the distributor’s premises and after 17 years at Hastie Avenue, it was time for Bonfiglioli New Zealand to secure its own premises.

In 2023, the New Zealand team relocated to its brand-new facility in Auckland, featuring a warehouse space of approximately 1200 m2, and almost 170 m2 of modern office space.

“The workshop is equipped with five Jib cranes, a paint booth and a parts washer, three assembler workstations, as well as factory supplied assembly and testing machines,” explains New Zealand Country Manager, Paul Savage.

With this equipment and these facilities, Bonfiglioli New Zealand has the capabilities to assemble the complete CAFS range which covers Inline Helical, Helical Bevel and Parallel Helical gearmotors, with a torque range between 100Nm – 14,000Nm. It also assembles the VF W worm series, with a torque range from 13 Nm to 2000Nm.  “We also have an extensive stock holding of the 300 Series planetary range, and offer local assembly of this range, up to 105,000Nm,” adds Paul Savage.

The New Zealand team has grown to 10 personnel, with plans to recruit additional staff in the coming months. “From this new home base, we will continue to add value to our customers’ operations, providing prompt delivery of our world-class solutions as well as comprehensive support and service,” says Mr. Savage.

“The New Zealand branch has consistently pursued excellence and innovation, and puts customers at the heart of its efforts,” says Mr. Broglia. “I hope Paul and the team enjoy many prosperous years at this new premises”.
